Chris Fennell stays on top of the Kill’s Corner SuperBru pool after the second week of play, for the rest of us, looks like we are going to have to come from behind if we are to get anything out of this competition.
Michael Griffin (Griff_Sword) came away with the Yellow Cap, successfully calling 5 out of the 7 games this past week to finish with a whopping 7.5 points. The rest of us were left ruing decisions beyond our control as we watched the teams who were ‘supposed to win’ try their hardest to lose.
Griff_Sword’s superb round has shot him into second spot, a mere half a point behind Fenzie who retains top spot in spite of not backing his own team, the Lions.
The week’s biggest climber is Mark Ross (Markymark) who climbed a staggering 27 places to seventh on the log. Conversely, Nathan Mallinson (NJMALLINSON) had a worse round than Tyler Blyendaal and Chris Noakes combined, dropping 24 spots to 34th.
Special mention need also be made of Gareth Liddell (SupaVuna) and Keith Scott (kpscott1012) who both got off the mark and made good ground on the leaders.
As far as Fantasy Rugby goes, yours truly tops the rankings again, although my world rank has dropped from fifth to 40th. Doug Gower (Thuglas) scored the most points this week with 2485. He now lies in second in the Kill’s Corner division and 500th in the world!
Remember folks, this is not a race, it’s a marathon. Take it easy like the Zambezi out there and don’t lose sleep over a few bugger ups in the opening rounds.
In closing I would like to thank Chris Noakes and Tyler Blyendaal for costing me valuable points courtesy of their excellent on field performances. Also to Bismarck du Plessis and the Sharks for opting to kick two penalties inside the last 10 minutes to take not only a bonus point, but a margin point away from me. #sourgrapes
